It's been 27 years since my time at Tpoint Job Corp & I still think about that place all the time...the friends I made, the crushes, the opportunities I passed up, the few that I didn't, ALL the highs & lows, the wins & losses... I'll always look back on that time with a certain fondness.
I was there
I like mr.tood grist and I like jacksonville job corps and it help you in and out of labor
Its cool if thats what you wanna do, ive been there, its like highschool. For me it didnt make sense since im on to bigger things
Horrible place. The immigrants only get one hour of sunlight a day. Huge LIE there's no programming you're stuck there 23 hours a day.
Nice I graduated long time ago in San Diego job corps pretty nice and good school
Hell Yeah Keith!
Thankful for Job Corps. Keep up the great work James Brown. Love the hoodies BTW. I know the kids have to be proud of earning them with career related certifications.
So proud of you all. Y'all can do this
Lokelani room 10 and never changed rooms or beds, ID#1842156. Joined Jan 18 2022 and graduated Dec 15 2023. I was there during the best time to be there, the center was only limited to 20 students, we had to do trackers every morning, wear mask, but everyone was in the same circle and we all knew each other well, only 4 students could store run at once, there was no cameras on the center but now there's over 160 on center, brian them used to serve good stirfry. I knew over 90 people there. I was there before and after 55 of them, 28 got kicked out, 14 students resigned, 4 employees fired, 21 retirees/quiters, and I have only seen 26 students finish successfully. Val gave us some ricedab crispy, the weightroom was fun, fieldtrips lame and never went, I would go to haiku for the weekends, got delta 9s, the place was fun if you were patient, tolerant, and good at balling. I did HBI, Culinary and Hotel (worst to best). It was fun but as I was closer to finishing the place was filling up with students and turning into a public highschool again. It was a better post high-school campaign than all my highschool classmates.
@MTC Pretty sure those are the Plastocon Insulator, DHT-4. Seem like a decent tray design for four compartments. I see a lot of places use the less durable, cafeteria style ABS/co-polymer trays.
Thats my instructor he is a great man and a even better teacher

Oh ok
I attended the a top of my class TCU Advanced Training program January 2003 to August 2004. I enjoyed the Amtrak rides to Winona, MN and the boat ride on Lake Superior near Duluth, MN and other trips. The rec trips to Guthrie theater, Mall of America, Target center and some Timberwolves basketball games was an experience. I used to ride the 84 Bus route on Snelling Avenue to Mall of America or went north to Mall there or AMC theater and Barnes and noble, Shinders and Best Buy. Also had an internship at Social security office downtown Minneapolis then walked to House of Wong Chinese restaurant and cheap theater to the east of the job corps. The only problems I dealt with was a lot of racist bigotry and how so many companies think you must be a felon of you attend job corps. I wasn't a felon but seeing lots of haters there as were near a Muslim Mosque met a few friends but still it was an experience. Since my time there the jobs I've applied for such as railroad, airlines, credit unions, etc are so rude and haters these days to job corps kids and adults. I will write more later.
I was there for the TCU program January 2003 to August 2004. Tommie Colston I heard retired and Jason Dreis is still there as Is Diane Dettmann but they make you work hard for sure. Though job wise isn't your choice as they don't get all students the job of choice. I graduated top of my class but being from Duncan, Oklahoma and applying for airlines, railroad, credit unions discriminate and show disrespect to job corps students. I had one airline company even stammer at me and was like you must be a felon to be going to job corps as I was like no I'm not a felon plus dealt with lots of bigotry among the students there. All in all it was cold and I learned a lot about myself there and met a few friends though used to ride the 84 Bus to Mall of America or went to the mall north and the Barnes and Noble Bookstore next to AMC theater. The House of Wong was a good Chinese restaurant about several blocks east of the job corps and the cheap movie theater. I explored lots of these places while attending and went Shinders books some it was an All put experience and had an internship at the social security office in downtown Minneapolis and saw a few Timberwolves games and visited the Target center and Guthrie theater on rec trips. I saw some of the locations of The Might Ducks was filmed. i took a couple Amtrak rides to Winona, MN then a trip to Duluth, MN a boat ride on Lake Superior lots of experiences.
